What's in the National Zoo that makes it worth going to? I've only been to the zoo once in my life. This makes it the second :) It's also free!!

Of course, one of the most popular and probably most anticipated parts of anyone's visit to the National Zoo is seeing the pandas. They get the most paparazzi :) Did you know that new born pandas weigh about 3 ounces?! That's about the size of your thumb! Probably the only animal that gives birth to such small babies compared to their adults, other than kangeroos?

I don't know very much about a panda's behaviour.. but apparently they are very lazy creatures.

I just want to sleep, leave me alone!

Don't we all speak up when we're in the mood for love?

Ever thought of having a cheetah for a pet? Ancient Egyptians did!

Do you ever wonder if the animals in the zoo are happier than the animals in the wild? In all fairness, they do have it pretty good. Apparently, the lions live twice as long in zoo than in the wild. They don't need to hunt or compete for food, worry about their homes being set on fire or chopped down, and when they fail to reproduce, they have their very own scientists readily available to assist. Hakuna Matata...there are no worries!
