Adventures Part II
Hello and welcome to my blog again. For anyone who is new to my blog, I suggest you start from post #1 and work your way up. Anyway, I still have a lot of pictures of my experiences and places I've been to, so I am here to give you more!! Enjoy.

A couple of weeks ago I went to the CHCI conference (Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute) at the Washington Convention Center, and this was a picture of my salad/dessert that I had at the luncheon...yum, besides the horseradish.

This is a picture of the luncheon.
I wish I took a pic of the entree, I forgot to take it, and then once I took a bite out of the food, the rest was history.
I also went to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Annual Legislative Conference (CBCF's ALC for short). Compared to the CHCI conference, this was one of the events I had the opportunity to almost fully experience.

NASA in the exhibit showcase hosted by the conference brought in this cool device, and I was told by NASA representatives, that this device/robot would be used by NASA during space explorations.

This picture is from the Coca Cola Showcase table, and they were giving out free Coca Cola products.

A picture of some interesting African art and merchandise, and the price was WAY over my budget.

Here was some more cool yet expensive pieces of African Art.

This is the Honorable Rev. Jesse Jackson speaking about the environment and air pollution at one of the sessions I went to. I didn’t want to look like a fan/groupie by going closer and taking a better picture because no one else was doing it, so I decided to do my best.

Yes I know...I am a hypocrite.

This is his son Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL) , who gave a thought-provoking speech at one of the sessions.

This was the reception on Friday night, and I must say it was entertaining. There were live performances and an open bar, as well as FOOD, from pasta to beef brisket.

And before I finish this blog, take a close look at this escalator, and answer me two questions:
Is this escalator moving or not moving?
and
Where is this escalator located?
If you answered "not moving," and any "D.C. Metro station," then you are the lucky winner.
I know I'm not the first to recognize that the escalators in the Metro stations here tend to not work too often. I was going up the escalator (a really steep one) and I began to sweat profusely. When I realized that it was the sixth time this week that I haven't found a working escalator, I took a picture of this escalator just to vent about it.
But thanks again for tuning in to my blog. In my next blog, I will be talking about nightlife in the city.
