Adventures Of Gamal

It's me again...Thanks for your continued support on my blogs, and we are coming on our third week, and I have a lot of things to show everyone, cause I have a bunch of pictures yet again that I was lazy to show you, so here it goes….

Well, first things first. One of my main goals that I aimed for once I came to DC was to travel to the national monuments, especially the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial. And I must say it was an experience that I am happy to talk about, because it was something that has been in the talks for years. The fact that it was finally created meant a lot to people who looked up to him and respected his contributions to society.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial

This right here, was the first thing I encountered, and it also marked a memorable event that I was glad to experience.

This was the signature monument that has been the display for the MLK Jr. National Memorial. I was trying to take the pic without that guy’s big baldhead in the way, but that was the closet thing I can get to perfection :(

This was on the side of the monument, and I decided to take the picture because it complemented the photo that I took above this one.

This one of the many excerpts from the speeches of MLK Jr. that was engraved on the walls on the Memorial. I took a picture of all the quotes, so I choose the ones that I liked the most such as this one.

Another one I felt enlightened by.

And another one…

And Anoth….Wait…I really like this, and this was a quote that I had seen and read years ago before I even knew King said it, and it stuck by me ever since.

And another one…….

This was the view of the Jefferson monument that I took on the way there.

This had a peaceful feeling to it, which is why I choose to take a picture of it; this is in the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial.

This was another sculpture I saw at the Memorial, quite interesting and realistic in a sense

Here is another one...

And another one, I didn't bother to really see the significance of these sculptures so don't judge me, I just like the type of art it portrayed for me, if that made any sense.

I took a picture of this while I was walking along the trail to the Jefferson monument, I thought it was pretty neat and gave a zen vibe.

This was part of the National World War II Memorial , and it was a cool place to visit , and also a place to relax.

See, I told you...

Lastly, I took a picture of the sculptures of the Korean War Memorial, and I like the way they made this memorial the most, based on its realism.

Well I decided to not put a lot of pictures that I took at the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials, because more than likely you have seen them already (all the time), and plus it's hanging in your living room.

Well, that's all I am going to give you now. I have a lot more in store, especially recent pics of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Legislative Conference (yes, long it is) that I recently went to.

I wanted to try something new and give you a music section , so when you're on the go, you can add this to your mp3 player, if haven't already.

I will call this section .......

Gamal's On The Go (creative isn't it?)

And yes I DO know this song, contrary to popular belief. Just know when ever you hear " JUST A SMALL TIME GIRL..." 10/10 times you'll finish that line regardless of where you are.

Well, 'til next time peace.......
