Choosing to do the TWC London Program was one of the best choices I've made. I traveled all over Britain on my weekends discovering new places and history! I'll never forget my time there. I couldn't ask for a better experience and I wouldn't want to! I'm completely satisfied! I can't wait to get my British Passport and I'm very proud of my British heritage. I'm so thankful I could finally see the place my Dad's family has been talking about for all these years! Britain is a wonderful place and it will be greatly missed! (Along with everyone I met!)  

I've gotten requests to write a blog specifically about my internship. For one thing I can't imagine a more awesome internship! I loved my experience working for Metropolis. My coworkers were great and I enjoyed all the work I did! This was my first internship related to my major Digital Media Design and I feel like I learned so much about the music industry as well as Digital Media. It was truly the perfect fit. Thank you CAPA and TWC for placing me somewhere that I met great people and gained wonderful experience in my major!  

CAPA held a farewell dinner for my Washinton Center group in a restaurant named Café Below (it's in a medieval crypt!) in London. The food was fabulous! I had the Pan fried Sea Bream, with runner beans, Jersey royals and salsa verde. It was so good! I made sure to thank them for everything they've done to help us throughout the program (especially the ride to the airport for our return flight).

I took a train from Kings Cross to Edinburgh, Scotland. (Very Harry Potter) I highly suggest if it's your first time visiting Scotland that you take a train ride there. It may take longer, but the train is comfortable and view is absolutely amazing. For example, see picture below:

The Harry Potter Premiere in London has been on my calendar to attend since I was knew I was accepted into this program. You can even check if you don't believe me! My love for Harry Potter goes back to the time when I was 13 and I would continually read the books, write fan fiction, and surf mugglenet.com for all the best Harry Potter news.  I even dressed up as Hermione from the 3rd movie when I was 13, so I was quite a Potter fan (and still am!!).

Last weekend I decided to do a couple of day trips. Saturday I attended a trip to Oxford, Stratford and The Cotswold Villages. The first stop was Oxford which some scenes in the Harry Potter films have been shot. I’ve always wanted to check out Oxford and part of me has always wanted to go to school there, so it was great to finally see it in person.

Paris was definitely an interesting experience. I will admit I had a bit of a culture shock from visiting a country that doesn’t speak English as its first language. First, the trip started by the International Students House, where I boarded a large bus of about 40 people. From there we rode to Dover where we went through customs. Customs wasn’t too bad and I got a second stamp in my passport (this made me feel quite fulfilled). I would love to have my passport filled with stamps someday.

This week I attended The Beatles walking tour in London. It was pretty fun. The tour began at the famous crosswalk the Beatles walked across for their Abbey Road album. It was the most fun/hilarious experience! Imagine all the people crowding around

In a nutshell, my second week in England has been a whirlwind. It mostly consisted of getting used to the area, attending my internship, and getting homework done for The Washington Center. There is really no way to be bored in London because there is always something to do and the program keeps you very busy. In this thrid week, I've finally begun to put my foot in the water when it comes to traveling around the United Kingdom and I'd like to share my experience this weekend.

The two week seminar in Washington D.C. was great bonding time for the Australian and London Program students. The best part of the seminar in my opinion was that they had us take pictures at various places in D.C. My only criticism is that some of the monuments were a bit random and out of the way. Otherwise it was a great experience!
