Hello, world. Here I am, fashionably late to the party as always. But now I am finally able to speak my mind to all you happy people out there. Namasté! こんにちわ!Kumusta ka? My happiness at being able to say hello to you all transcends this little corner of the Maryland that I now call home.  I figured now would be a good time to give all of you a proper introduction. I'm Greg. I am twenty years old and hail from sunny San Diego, CA (I swear we only get two kinds of weather there: sun and slightly inconvenient drizzle). I am a Political Science major hailing from the University of San Diego and hope to attend law school shortly after graduating. My interests include politics, law, and history on one side and cartoons, Pokemon, and acting on the other side. I’d love to do a theatre production one day, but unfortunately the whole “want to become a lawyer” thing has not given me little spare time to do so. Despite this, both my serious, academic side and my more goofy and fun-loving side are always part of me and my work. You’d be surprised how many things from acting class have influenced my legal studies and vice-versa. Oh and yes, I spelled theater “theatre”. Same goes for “colour”, “favourite”, and “grey”. I don’t know how or when I started spelling those words like that, but that's not super important.

I don't have that many hobbies, but the one that I am most passionate about is photography. I started learning more about how to take pictures about 5 or 6 years ago and haven't looked back since.

San Diego Zoo
Golden Gate Bridge
Ducks!

So what is some random West Coast kid doing here on the East Coast? Well, as much as I love San Diego (believe me, our zoo trumps the National Zoo by a mile), after being there all my life I decided that I needed to broaden my horizons. Living on my own for the first time will undoubtedly bring about some interesting challenges, but also exciting opportunites as well ($2 street hot dogs? scandalous!). In the course of these ten weeks I hope to grow personally and academically while trying my best not to starve to death. I'll be taking A LOT of pics along the way. Care to join me in my adventure?
