All's Well That Ends, Well... I Don't Know

Happy National Smithsonian Museum Day!!

During the NSMD I, along with hundreds of others, went to the National Museum of Crime and Punishment. Did I mention that it was FREE?! Usually it costs around twenty dollars a ticket. However, thanks to The Smithsonian Institute, and hundreds of other participating museums, like Crime and Punishment, a privately funded museum, they are free! The lines were long and around the corner. A fellow TWC student, Jennifer Black, and I found ourselves shuffling for shade and short whiffs of the air conditioned gift shop for temporary relief. Once inside the museum the games began! I would hate to be this guy!!!

Not Your Mama's Shakespeare!One of my mini adventures in Washington consisted of me going to the “Shakespeare Theatre Company”, said in my British voice. Here’s a hot tip for you, going to the threats with a sad face and a Student ID may get you a $5 - $30 dollar ticket to some really fantastic shows! Also, the Shakespeare Theatre, Lansburgh Theatre has no bad seats! The theatre is designed beautifully. A co-worker, her roommate and I enjoyed wonderful play! The actors were exciting; the set was simple but aesthetically pleasing and very amusing. Yes, it was still Shakespeare, but very easy to follow without feeling like you are listening to old English text, even though you are!

This is a view of our last minute $15.00, "back of the back of the back" seats! Not too bad, in my opinion!
Even after all of the excitement of the day, I am left thinking;

1. I am glad I didn’t go to jail in the past… or, well I’m just glad I’ve never been to jail and have no intentions of going!
2. That was not your mama’s Shakespeare! Ok..You saw that one coming right?
3. Even f it were your mama’s Shakespeare [Spoiler Alert for anyone who has not read ‘All’s Well that Ends Well or seen a production] I would’ve have taken Betram back! My mama simply would not accept a man like that! So, I'm not sure "Alls well that ends well." I don't know. You be the judge, it's one of the things you can only do in Washington D.C. To get the full experience!
