Week 9 - The Final Countdown

Wednesday, August 05, 2015

*Cue inspirational music and, if you have seen Arrested Development, picture Gob Bluth dancing*   This week was packed with fun memories, and I cannot believe this internship program is coming to an end. I knew it would fly by, but I didn't know I would be so sad to say goodbye to all of the people I have met here, both in and out of my internship.

Week 8 -

Thursday, July 23, 2015

With only two weeks left, I am trying to finish a lot of classwork, experience new things in the city, and spend time with my friends. I can not believe my time here in D.C. is almost at an end, and I am trying to do everything I hoped to do before I must leave.   It was been a crazy, fun-filled week, and here are the highlights of the Sunny, the Jazzy, and the Patriotic moments:

Week 7 - Big Wheels Keep on Turnin'

Thursday, July 16, 2015

Hello friends, and welcome back!   I had a wonderful and exciting week, so let me tell you all about the Lazy, the Sweet, and the Thoughtful moments I had :)   The Lazy

Hey everyone, welcome back!   I want to share some of the lessons I have learned this summer in D.C. so far. I have learned and experienced so much, and I compiled a short list of tips for my fellow D.C. interns. If you have not yet followed one of these, be sure to do so now!   1. Treat yourself and others with respect.

Week 5 - Stars & Stripes

Thursday, July 02, 2015

The program is about halfway through now, and it is shocking how fast it has gone by. I have made some truly great friends while here in D.C., and I do not want the summer to end.   I will go over the Delicious, the Charitable, and the Patriotic moments of my week. Spoiler: I went home for the weekend to celebrate Independence Day with my family in Maryland.   The Delicious

Week 4 - Featuring Becca Mellor

Tuesday, June 30, 2015

Hi everyone! The fourth week of the TWC program has flown by faster than any other week thus far. I am delighted to tell you all about the Good, the New and the (yet again) Colorful.   The Good

Week 3

Thursday, June 18, 2015

Bienvenidos amigos! These past few weeks have been packed with more excitement and experiences. I have not yet mentioned that I am taking the U.S. Foreign Policy academic course at TWC, and I am really enjoying the class. Two of my classmates are friends of mine, and the instructor is great.

Week 2

Monday, June 15, 2015

The second week is over and it really flew by. I feel I am getting the hang of things around D.C. and I did a lot of fun new things! My internship at the General Delegation of the PLO has been interesting. I have been helping my co-workers with general public affairs and media work, as well as working on updating the website. It was a busy week, but I am enjoying my position, and I hope to get the opportunity to do some more writing. I will again go over what I feel were the Good, the New, and the Colorful moments of my week.

Let's Get Down to Business!

Tuesday, June 09, 2015

Hello and welcome to Washington, D.C. everyone! I am so excited to live here this summer and be a part of TWC. My name is Kayla Wumer, and I am from the great land of Maryland. I am sure a lot of you other TWC residents had to travel much farther than I did. I am in the Media and Communications track, I am a rising senior (what?!?) and I am interning for the PLO Delegation!
