New Week, New People, and New Ventures.

New Week, New People, and New Ventures.

This week I had the great opportunity to conduct an informational interview for the first time and, to be honest, I was rather nervous!

I interviewed with Mary Ballantyne, Director of the Alberta-U.S. relations office here in Washington, D.C. I can’t say how much of a privilege it was to interview an individual as established as herself, and an individual who works in a career that I admire so and hope to be working in myself one day! The interview took place at the Canadian Embassy (dream come true), where I got to learn all about her career, and connect with someone from back home at the same time. To make it all the better, she took me on a small tour of the embassy after the interview, where I had my photo taken on the rooftop!

Needless to say, it was an amazing day for me.

And to end the week right, my fellow blogger Rebecca and I went for Saturday afternoon brunch at a great French restaurant.

Le Grenier has a fantastic brunch special (which I highly recommend trying!), and the atmosphere and service of the restaurant is even better! Not to mention, I had some really great company that made it all the better.

Unfortunately, it is still cold and snowy here in D.C., but fingers crossed that it will warm up soon so more adventuring can be had.

Have a great week readers!
