D.C. CUPCAKE BATTLE!

Sunday, October 05, 2014

This week, I decided to do something a little bit different from the usual ‘programming’. Before coming to D.C., I was always a fan of cupcakes. When arriving here, I realized just how big the cupcake scene here in the city was. I am pretty sure most people know about Georgetown Cupcake from the TV show, but my roommates and I wanted to find out which place made the best cupcake in D.C. 36 Cupcakes, 1,000,000 Calories...Whatever!!!???

Blood. Sweat. No Tears!

Sunday, September 28, 2014

I may have tripped and fell at work this week and got an open wound on the palm of my hand.  Don’t worry, everything has healed!  The weekdays were cold, but the weekend was hot (make up your mind, D.C.).  One month living in D.C., and life is mostly awesome!

The TWC Housing and My Roommates

Monday, September 22, 2014

Many people back home have been asking me questions about The Washington Center, but the one I get the most is about where I am living and who my roommates are.  Well, I hope that this blog post will explain some of it. The Housing at the RAF

Snow Day???

Saturday, September 13, 2014

Ok, I know the title is a little bit misleading, but I was informed by people back home that it was snowing earlier this week in Calgary. I do realize that it is still technically summer. Must have been an interesting way to start the school year! Anyway, the weather in D.C. hasn’t really been unpredictable but just quite warm. Some days it feels like a sauna outside, but I feel like it is finally cooling down a bit which is a relief.

Hello everybody, and welcome to my blog. I never really thought that I would be starting a blog, but I think it will be a good way to keep track of my accomplishments over fifteen weeks at The Washington Center (TWC) and in Washington, D.C.  Before I officially begin, I would like to thank my friend, Jennifer, from back home who inspired me to write this blog.
