"It's getting late early." -Yogi Berra   Another Beautiful Sunset

Poli-ticking People Off

You cannot come to Washington, D.C. and not let a little bit of politics slip into the conversation. For myself, the topic is usually discussed before, during, and after my class: "The Presidency, Congress, and the Media." The course combines three classrooms for a dynamic learning experience. The Washington Center, Purdue University, and George Mason University are joined via video with C-SPAN studios for a Q & A session hosted by Steven Scully. The guests vary from former Representatives to journalists, each with unique views on the current political climate in D.C.

"Men, I want you just thinking of one word all season. One word and one word only: Super Bowl." -Head coach Houston Oilers

Mr. Curd Goes to Washington

"Get up there with that lady that's up on top of this Capitol dome, that lady that stands for liberty. Take a look at this country through her eyes if you really want to see something. And you won't just see scenery; you'll see the whole parade of what Man's carved out for himself, after centuries of fighting for something better than jungle law, fighting so he can stand on his own two feet, free and decent, like he was created, no matter what his race, color or creed." -Mr. Smith Goes To Washington
