Wizards and Bikes

Wizards and Bikes

The weather continued its fickle attitude this weekend, going from 65 degrees to snow in a span of 24 hours. Once again however, the weekend was enjoyed despite the weather fluctuations.

Wizards vs. Nets

Now I know when you see wizard in the title you might be thinking powerful magician, but that is not the case. The Wizards I am referring to did pull off some magic, but of a different kind. I went to my first NBA basketball game and got to see the hometown Wizards pull a come from behind victory over the visiting Nets. The game appeared to be the Nets for the entirety of the first three quarters. By the end of the fourth quarter, however, the Wizards had pulled off a magic trick with a win. The fans also were winners with free Chick-fil-A sandwiches as a result of two missed free throws in a row by the visiting Nets.

The weekend was finished off with another trip touring the monuments. The tour this time, however, was done by bike. The biking allowed us to see more sites in a shorter amount of time while also being an enjoyable form of exercise. The afternoon saw us visit some of the Smithsonians, pass by the Washington Monument on our way to the Lincoln Memorial, stop at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial, and circle back around to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial.

After another hard work out with the HIIT crew, the intense basketball game, and the bike tours of D.C., I am almost ready to go back to a relaxing work week... almost.
