Shuffling through the Shutdown

Tuesday, October 15, 2013

I'm fortunate that my internship was not impacted by the U.S. government shutdown that began October 1st and finally ended this week.   Luckily my roommates and I managed to squeeze in a visit to the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum before the shutdown started. I hadn't been there since I was about 10 or 11 so visiting as an adult was a much more enriching experience.

Sometimes you have to step back to leap forward. That's what I'll be doing in tonight's blog because my schedule's been a little all over the place over the past few weeks. D.C. has gotten a ton of national news attention over the past few weeks and a lot of it's been negative. Now that I finally have had a chance to put my stories down in blog form, I'd like to take you through a few of the news stories I've been a part of while I've been here.

A Few Northeast Eats

Sunday, September 29, 2013

Okay, so now that I've been here a few weeks and gotten out and about on the weekends. I have a few food highlights to share with you. To make it even better, they're right in TWC's backyard.

First Seven Days At CBS News

To say the least, my first calendar week at CBS News was nothing short of exceptional.

DC Weekend #1!

Thursday, September 12, 2013

Hello everyone! My name is Dustin Wlodkowski and I am thrilled to be blogging for The Washington Center this semester. I can’t wait to share all of my adventures in one of my favorite cities with you, but before we get started, it might be helpful if I tell you a little about myself.
