The Annual Gala

The Washington Center’s Annual Gala is its largest and most important fundraising event. Proceeds fund more than two million dollars in scholarships that TWC provides to 85 percent of its students annually. In 2013, the Gala raised more than $480,000 to benefit TWC’s scholars and programs.

The Annual Gala celebrates The Washington Center’s partners and its mission. Remarkable individuals who have supported our academic internship and seminar programs; who have made it possible for us to bring more than 2,000 college students each year to Washington, D.C.; and whose lives exemplify TWC’s three pillars: professional achievement, leadership, and civic engagement, are honored with our Pillar Awards.

More than 500 guests attend this celebratory event which highlights TWC's network of critical partners. They come from many diverse constituent groups: members of affiliated universities; some of TWC's 50,000 alumni; board members; corporate and foundation sponsors; congressional leaders; and other close friends.

This year, The Washington Center is pleased to present Gala 2014: Access and Opportunity. Access and Opportunity celebrates its commitment to make programs affordable and attainable for all students and the value of diverse voices in leadership of all sectors.
