A Washington Center intern's week is a full one. It includes a four- or four-and-one-half day internship, a three-hour class, various Washington Forum events, plus commuting, socializing, and personal errands. There's enormous variety in schedules, but our interns tell us your five-day week might look something like this:

Depart for lobbying visit concerning the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW); meet legislative assistant to Senator John Warner (R-VA) on Capitol Hill along with representatives from Amnesty International, Better World Campaign, et al. |
4:00 PM |
Return to Eastern Market office to check email and complete outstanding projects |
5:00 PM |
Close of work day; leave for dinner with other Citizens for Global Solutions interns by Metro (Red Line) for Dupont Circle |
