The U.S.- China Bilateral Trade Internship Program

In 2007, The Boeing Company partnered with The Washington Center to launch the U.S.-China Bilateral Trade Internship Program. The program brings Chinese and U.S. students together to work, study and learn in Washington, D.C. to facilitate bilateral trade, best business practices, and cross-cultural awareness between the two countries. It also helps Chinese students develop an understanding of the U.S. business-culture, specifically policy-making and best business practices; and assists U.S. students in understanding the Chinese culture, traditions and mindset.

The Washington Center offers this program once a year in the spring, for three consecutive years, 2008, 2009, and 2010. Twenty students are selected each year.

Ten of these “Boeing Fellows” come from each country. Eligibility is restricted to students from the following universities:

United States:
  • California State University
  • University of Washington
  • Washington University
In China:
  • Fudan University
  • Peking University
  • Tsinghua University
