International Students

General Requirements

TInternational applicants must obtain a J-1 Visa; therefore they must complete The Washington Center's Application Form and submit and/or meet the additional requirements as outlined below:

1. Application form
   
   
2. Issues essays
   
   
3. Internship Request Statement
   
   
4. Resume
   
   
5. University's transcript: showing an average grade of 3.0 or equivalent.
   
   
6. Two letters of recommendation
   
   
7. $125 non-refundable application fee
   
   
8. TOEFL score of 213 (equivalent to 550 on the previous scale)
   
   
9. Copy of first page of the passport

Applicants must submit the original plus two collated copies of all application materials.

The application fee for international students is $125. This fee covers the cost of processing and sending the J-1 Visa Form by FEDEX.
