Korea

The Korean Initiative Program was first launched in 2004 through cooperation with the South Korean government. Between 2004 and 2005, The Washington Center hosted 121 young professionals sponsored by Korea’s Human Resources Development Service in the Ministry of Labor.

After successfully completing the government-sponsored program, The Washington Center developed its own relationships with Korean universities and signed cooperation agreements with 16 universities. Many of these schools provide financial assistance to their students participating in our programs and grant academic credits.
