
International Students
Financial Information
The Washington Center makes on-going efforts to raise funds to provide scholarships for international students. Some international applicants receive support or assistance from their college or university in the form of waived tuition, receive state or provincial funding, or are sponsored by private companies or local foundations.
Some of our currently available scholarships are:
- Mexico Governor’s Internship Program: Participants enrolled in this program receive financial aid from their State. In order to receive the funding you should be nominated by your State directly. For more information, please contact Rodrigo Aguilar.
- Canada Initiatives: Several provinces and universities in Canada provide financial aid. For more information, please contact Sonia Ziadé.
- Korean Initiatives: Several universities in South Korea provide discounts to its students attending our programs. For more information, please contact Jung Lim.
- The U.S.-China Bilateral Trade Internship Program: This program is available for selected students enrolled in Peking University, Tsinghua University and Fudan University in China as well as Washington University, University of Washington and California State University (Saint Louis) in the United States. The program is only offered in the Spring semester and students must be nominated by their school. For more information, please contact Virginia Gergoff.
- The Ford Motor Company Global Scholars Program: This program is available for selected students from Saint Petersburg- Russia, Chennai-India, Johannesburg-South Africa, Sao Pablo and Salvador-Brazil, and Hanoi-Vietnam. The program is only offered in the Fall semester and students must be nominated by their school. For more information, please contact Virginia Gergoff.
- The GE America’s Regional Integration Program: This program is available for selected students from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela. The program is only offered in the Spring semester and students must be nominated by their school. For more information, please contact Virginia Gergoff.
- Civic Engagement Award: $1,000 housing financial assistance.
Please note that TWC financial assistance is not cumulative and is subject to students staying at TWC housing.
