We receive students and young professionals from Canada , Mexico , Asia, the European Union, Latin America and Africa. All international young professionals are encouraged to apply to our programs and experience a semester of a lifetime. In today's competitive workforce, it is essential to have knowledge and expertise in your field. Multinational corporations, growing private firms and governments look for the best and the brightest. Investing in an international professional experience will not only help you to differentiate from the rest, but will also allow you to test your career interests. Finding a competitive and valuable on-the-job training experience can be difficult in your own country, let alone internationally. Our international programs are specially designed for students and young professionals from all over the world to prepare them to excel in their career. During The Washington Center's training programs you will work full-time four days a week. This experience will allow you to get exposure and learn about policies, practices and procedures of the U.S. government, private business and non-governmental organizations involved in public policy. Part of the learning experience includes completing research, writing memos and documents and giving presentations for a third party agency, company or organization.
