Diversity Leaders, Civic Engagement, and International Leaders Awards
Diversity Leaders Award: $3,000 housing financial assistance
Civic Engagement Award: $1,000 housing financial assistance
Recipients are chosen competitively on the basis of their academic performance and record of involvement and leadership in relevant settings (college or university, community, etc.) as reflected on their application including their resume and transcript.
Requirements for Diversity Leaders and Civic Engagement Awards
- U.S. citizenship or permanent U.S. residency required for Diversity Leaders applicants.
- Ability to contribute to the diversity of our students and of Diversity Leaders awardees (Diversity Award applicants only).
- Not available to students in the Postgraduate Professional Development Program.
- Students are encouraged to specify interest in Diversity Leaders Award and/or Civic Engagement Award on the application
- Priority consideration is given to students who apply by the Competitive Deadline.
International Leaders Award: $5995
Recipients are chosen competitively on the basis of their leadership, academic achievement and vision for global community development.
Application Requirements
- Must be an international undergraduate student enrolled in a non-U.S. university affiliated with The Washington Center. Available during Spring and Fall only. For additional information, contact internationalinfo@twc.edu.
- Applicant must be proficient in English.
- In the required essay, which is part of the internship application, applicant should discuss a topic of global concern and its importance to the applicant’s country and the world, and how he or she will contribute to their field of interest upon returning home.
