Sample Schedule

Printer-friendly versionEach group’s time in the capital will be different and customized to their unique course of study. A sample schedule of a couple days could be:
Wednesday
1pm – Arrival and check in at hotel
2pm – Visit to the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums or a walking tour of Georgetown
6pm – Dinner at an ethnic restaurant in the Adams Morgan neighborhood
9am – Program orientation at The Washington Center
10am – Travel to Capitol Hill for a tour of the Capitol and meeting with congressional staff
1pm – Lunch at Union Station or the Capitol Visitor Center

Other Activities
We will work with you to develop other activities for your group, such as:
- Civic engagement or service learning projects.
- Facilitating a breakfast meeting with an interest group or a luncheon at the National Press Club.
- Organizing a reception for alumni or prospective freshmen in the second floor of The Washington Center (available for rental at a special affiliate rate of $125/hour)
