TWC hosted the "U.S. Constitutional and Electoral Law: Political Communication, Campaigning Finance Regulation and Transparency" seminar earlier this month. The seminar is sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme [1] and provides high-ranking officials working on Electoral Tribunals in Mexico [2] with the opportunity to come to Washington, D.C. and participate in a week of professional activities. The overarching goal of the program is to teach every seminar participant about the law and judicial system in the United States.
Programming speakers included:
Edward Grefe, Adjunct Professor, George Washington University [3]
William R. O'Field, United States Electoral Specialist and Certified Elections/Registration Administrator
Scott E. Thomas, Chairman of the Federal Election Commission [4]
Craig Engle, Founder of Arent Fox [5]
Lawrence M. Noble, Counsel, Political Law, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, & Flom, LLP [6]
The seminar provided a dynamic experience for participants, who became more engaged with topics relevant to their careers back in Mexico.
