Summer interns had one of the most highly anticipated programming events of the semester starting at The National Housing Center Atrium.
The event kicked off with a keynote speech by Wendy Cumberland, President of the Junior League of Washington [1]. Wendy spoke to students about the time she has devoted to community volunteerism, her role as both the President and Board Member of The Junior League and finished off her keynote by encouraging interns to get involved within their communities, both in D.C. when they return to their home states.
In addition, TWC partner, The Princeton Review, raffled a free review session to one of the summer interns for a standardized test of his or her choice.
After attending the keynote, summer interns attended two workshops at a variety of nearby locations.
Workshops included:
A majority of the summer TWC Interns ended their day by celebrating TWC's first InternsROCK! in Gallery Place Chinatown.
