TWC interns from Ohio met with Congresswoman Sutton and two her legislative staff at the Longworth House Office building in Washington, D.C. The students, who attend Furman University, Tiffin University and the University of Mount Union, spoke with the congresswoman and her staff members about policy issues concerning:
• Armed Services/Defense
• Health Care
• Redistricting
• Immigration/Border Control
When asked about the visit, Stephanie Olivera from Tiffin University said: “My preparation for today’s dialogue allowed me to become much more familiar with what is going on in government. Even Congresswoman Sutton’s website increased my knowledge regarding her stance on critical issues as well as general knowledge on issues that I was not aware of."
