The Cordova Congressional Internship Program and the Political Leadership Program enjoyed a distinguished panel of speakers who discussed the relationships between lobbyists and legislators and how they promote policy-making.

- Michael McMenamin, TWC alumni ('85) and senior counsel-managing director for Alcatel-Lucent
- Karen Price-Ward, TWC alumni ('92) and community affairs/grassroots manager for Southwest Airlines
The panel addressed the myths, stereotypes, challenges and benefits of the work of lobbying and how it influences and shapes the public agenda in Washington, D.C.
