TWC's Alumni Networking Reception took place at the Residential Academic Facility. The networking event included a diversity of alumni and current spring interns, in addition to one of the most unique speakers that TWC has ever hosted: matchmaker and 1984 TWC alumna, Christie Nightingale, who runs Premier Match. Premier Match is an upscale, matchmaking service with locations in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia.
Career Path
Christie spoke to students about her long and unique career path starting with her undergraduate journalism days at Seaton Hall University. It was during this time that Nightingale came to D.C. through TWC, where she interned with the Republican National Convention. She then continued to her first job at an entertainment PR Firm, Rogers and Cowan, in New York City. Although her first job she was taught invaluable skills that allowed her to advance forward in her career. She then entered the modeling world where she faced criticism on a daily basis but developed a tough skin. By the time she reached her 30's, she developed an interest in the matchmaking industry. She headed to Los Angeles to learn the mechanics of the matchmaking industry and returned to NYC after a few months, where she began her now flourishing business.
