Washington, D.C. - The Washington Center announced the opening of applications for the Veterans Employment Trajectory (VET) Initiative.

Sponsored by the Prudential Foundation, the VET Initiative is designed to cultivate veterans’ career advancement and workforce preparedness. Twenty-five qualified veterans from around the country will be selected to participate in a 10-week professional immersion program in Washington, D.C. during the summer 2017 semester. The program will serve as a platform for increasing veterans’ access to quality jobs, preparing them for the transition from university life to the civilian working world.

Participants receive a full scholarship covering most expenses, including the application and program and housing fees (approximately a $15,000 value). Honorably discharged veterans who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program are eligible to apply for the program.
