Thomas Mann is a congressional scholar who speaks widely on American politics and policymaking. He is known for his knowledge on a wide variety of topics, ranging everywhere from campaigns and elections to the effectiveness of Congress. He is also known for co-authoring The Broken Branch and It's Even Worst Than It Looks. Last Monday, he was invited to speak on the topic, "Congress: Is It the Broken Branch?" with C-SPAN's Steve Scully.

About the Road to the White House Course

 

TWC students have a unique opportunity to participate in an innovative course titled, “Road to the White House: A Comprehensive Study of American Presidential Politics in the TV and Digital Age.”  Taught by Steve Scully, senior executive producer at C-SPAN and former president of the White House Correspondents Association, the course brings to the classroom via television the top experts in political campaigns, media, public policy, and public affairs.  The class airs on C-SPAN radio and C-SPAN III every Friday afternoon.
