Stephen Farnsworth is the author of Spinner In Chief: How Presidents Sell Their Messages and Themselves, which talks about how presidents sell their policies and themselves, and the co-author of The Global President: International Media and the U.S. Government. These books give readers insight into the branding of presidents and presidential candidates through the media, and also discusses the power of presidential rhetoric.

 

Farnsworth discussed various topics in his two books during the Washington Classroom, which examines all facets of politics in the television and media age.

About the Road to the White House Course

 

TWC students have a unique opportunity to participate in an innovative course titled, “Road to the White House: A Comprehensive Study of American Presidential Politics in the TV and Digital Age.” Taught by Steve Scully, senior executive producer at C-SPAN and former president of the White House Correspondents Association, the course brings to the classroom via television the top experts in political campaigns, media, public policy, and public affairs. The class airs on C-SPAN Radio and C-SPAN III every Friday afternoon.
