John Heilemann is the co-author of the New York Times bestseller Game Change, about the 2008 presidential campaign, which was adapted into award-winning movie by HBO. He is also a journalist for New York magazine, where he mainly covers U.S. politics.

Heilemann talked about some of the story lines and key moments from the 2008 election that were outlined in his book, Game Change. Students from Purdue University, George Mason University, and the Washington Center asked Heilemann questions about the book and his research when developing the book.

About the Road to the White House Course
