Prudential students from Brazil, China, Japan, India, South Korea, and Taiwan gathered at the Prudential Washington, D.C. office for a luncheon with top-level officials.

Remarks from Chris Cooper, chairman and CEO of Prudential International Investments, focused on Prudential’s international presence stating that “the companies that survive are the companies that innovate.” Students also heard from Robert Doyle, vice president, who spoke about Prudential’s work in the nation’s capital: “We have the ability to educate regulators about Prudential and retirement-related issues.”

Rene Deida, director of corporate engagement at Prudential Financial, provided an overview of Prudential’s business model and corporate mission: “We operate on a triple bottom line, the three Ps; people, planet and profit.” Students participating in the Prudential Foundation Global Citizens program will have the opportunity to learn more about Prudential Financial during a trip to their headquarters in Newark, New Jersey scheduled in November.

The students appreciated their afternoon with members of Prudential and enjoyed attending TWC’s Gala later that evening as guests of Prudential.
