TWC interns from Ohio met with Senator Sherrod Brown and members of his legislative staff at the U.S. Capitol Visitor’s Center in Washington, D.C. The students, who attend Morehead State University, Tiffin University, University of Toledo, University of Cincinnati-Main Campus and University of Mount Union, spoke with the Senator about policy issues concerning:

Education

Jobs

Women's Global Issues

Energy and Environment

When asked about the visit, Julia Hanson from University of Toledo said: "I feel much more informed about the lobbying process and how to communicate with representatives after this visit."

Public Policy Dialogues on Capitol Hill (PPDCH), sponsored by Verizon Wireless, provide students with the unique opportunity to meet and interact with members of Senate or Congress representing their state or congressional district.  This is one component of The Washington Center's internship program.
