The Washington Center and Popular Community Bank hosted 50 alumni and friends at the beautiful Ford Foundation building in Midtown Manhattan on Nov. 12.

Alumni from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania enjoyed an elegant reception and a chance to reconnect – as well as a visit from TWC President Mike Smith and Chief Academic Officer Kelly Eaton. Each took to the podium to update the crowd about the latest happenings at Headquarters and the Residential and Academic Facility in D.C.

Smith highlighted several outstanding alumni among the guests, including Patrick Ignozzi ’90, vice president of current programming, syndication and development for Disney-ABC Television, and T. Sean Herbert ’89, an award-winning CBS News producer. Ignozzi and Herbert received TWC’s Alumni Achievement Award in 2014 and 2013, respectively. Smith made special mention of Susan Pannullo '81, a member of TWC's Board of Directors, Alumni Advisory Board Chair Gordon Hallas '90 and AAB member Stefan Kalina '92, all in attendance. Finally, Smith thanked Brian Doran, Popular Community Bank’s region executive and director of government affairs, not only for his sponsorship of hte evening's reception, but also the bank's longstanding support of TWC's Cordova and Fernos Program, which serves students from Puerto Rico.
