Maryland Intern meets with Congresswoman Donna Edward's Legislative Staff

TWC intern, Beri Ndifon from Washington and Lee University, had the opportunity to meet with Congresswoman Donna Edward’s legislative staff at the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, D.C. The student, who attend Washington and Lee University, spoke with the congresswoman about policy issues concerning:

 

Human Rights

Foreign Policy

Women's Rights

 

When asked about the visit, TWC intern Beri Ndifon from Washington and Lee University said: "The dialogue was much more personal and conversational than I’d anticipated. More interesting than the questions themselves were her responses and what I learned from them. She has a long history of involvement in and knowledge of women’s human rights, particularly how they intersect with foreign policy."
