Global Talent Program Networking Reception
12 young and promising Korean students from Seoul National University (SNU) met with leaders in the Korean-American community during the 2012 Global Talent Program's networking reception. Guests included Mr. Soon Koo Yoon, Consul General from the Korean Embassy, who was the featured keynote speaker of the night.
The Global Talent Program is designed and sponsored by Seoul National University with TWC designated as the administrator of the program. Over the course of one week, which spanned from December 9th to December 15th, students visited and learned about important institutions, government entities and private corporations that help make international foreign policy and global cooperation work. With an emphasis on the role of U.S.-Korean relations in the world, seminar participants had the opportunity to visit:
- U.S. Chamber of Commerce
- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
- The U.S. Small Business Administration
- Prudential
- Radio Free Asia
- Smithsonian Institution
- Executive Office of the Mayor
- Woodrow Wilson Center
- World Bank Group
The SNU students presented the results of their research projects at each visit as a demonstration of their commitment to international cooperation. SNU and TWC would like to thank everyone who contributed to the experience of these 12 students.
