Fall students packed into Blinken Auditorium for a welcome from TWC on Thursday, August 25 as the 15 week fall semester began.

Students were introduced to students services staff, the LEAD instructors who will manage their Friday programming and the internship site coordinators who placed them in internships. Following that introduction was a formal welcome and opening charge from incoming TWC President Chris Norton.

“You are all here during a historic time and it’s a real chance for you to make an impact in this city,” Norton said. “Make sure you ask questions, get engaged and commit to doing something special with your lives.”

Following move in on Wednesday and orientation programming on Thursday, students spent the weekend exploring D.C., getting to know new roommates and mentally preparing for the beginning of their internships this week.
