The highly anticipated Media and Communications Panel, "Careers in Communications," took place at the Residential Academic Facility. Each semester, the Media and Communications Program Advisors, Jaclyn Sheridan and Jacki Banks, recruit several speakers from a series of communications backgrounds to speak to TWC interns who are intersted in pursuing a career in communications, PR or marketing.

Summer 2012 Panelists

After each panelist introduced themselves and discussed their current and past positions, they took a series of questions from the audience which included:

  • Where do you draw the line between passion and practicality?
  • Is work experience or graduate school more useful when it comes to a career in Public Relations or Marketing?
  • What is it like to manage a communications team?

Once the panel ended, summer interns were given the opportunity to spend time one-on-one with each panelist and networked.
