Great Academics When combined with strong academic coursework, an internship with The Washington Center most often leads to academic credit at your home institution. You’ll take a weekly course that relates to your areas of interest and to the work you do every day.

Insightful SpeakersThe Washington Center maintains a broad, enduring network of relationships with distinguished speakers from government agencies, multinational businesses and nongovernmental organizations. You’ll have the opportunity to hear from them and get your questions answered in a once-in-a-lifetime venue.

Housing is ProvidedYou’ll live in a secured facility that is available for the exclusive use of TWC interns.  All apartments are fully furnished with  building personnel available 24 hours a day.  The facility is close to the Metro and includes a gym among other amenities.

Evaluation and MentoringTWC provides comprehensive, direct guidance with a 25:1 student to program supervisor ratio. Program advisors mentor and work closely with students to ensure all their expectations are met. Students are evaluated by their program advisor from The Washington Center, the internship site supervisor and the course professor.
