Home Away From Home
: Guaranteed housing for interns
After a long day of interning, studying and enjoying the city, you’ll be happy to get home. Students who choose TWC’s housing will have a guaranteed spot in a shared apartment—not a dorm. Students live independently, have ample opportunities to meet fellow interns, get lost in deep discussions while cooking dinner or hit the town with new friends. Housing facilities are spread around the area and may be in the District, or in nearby Maryland or Virginia, but all apartments are fully furnished and close to the Metro. All buildings feature:
- Air conditioning.
- A fully equipped kitchen and private bathroom.
- Access to laundry facilities.
- High-speed Internet access, local telephone and basic cable service.
- Secured building access with 24-hour front desk staff.
- Access to shopping and restaurants.
To take advantage of guaranteed housing you’ll need to complete a housing reservation form.
Finding Your Own AccommodationMost students find living in TWC’s housing is comfortable, convenient, and fun, but it is not a requirement. You are welcome to find D.C.-area living accommodations on your own. Our Student Life staff will still be available to you (though you will not have a resident advisor) and you’ll still have access to activities organized by your program advisor(s).
