With an international internship you can explore the world as you practice an exciting new career. We currently offer programs in two of the world’s greatest cities: London, England and Sydney, Australia. Whichever of these locations you select, you can be confident that the staff of The Washington Center will be working to ensure that your experience meets or exceeds your expectations.
Internships in London, England London is a dynamic, multicultural city.  It is a progressive center of business, finance, education, entertainment, media and the arts. It is also the capital of the United Kingdom, a key political and trading partner of the U.S. London’s proud and storied past reaches back over 2,000 years. It is rich with historic landmarks like the Tower of London or Big Ben, cultural events, and open parkland. With its regional bus or train network, you can easily explore the city and countryside. Don’t worry about getting around the city. London’s subway system, the Underground (or “tube”), makes transportation in the city and surrounding areas a snap. In addition, myriad buses and the famous London taxis abound.

Or in Sydney, AustraliaSydney has long been a favorite destination for U.S. students studying abroad. It’s an ideal place to intern for those interested in the booming Pacific Rim countries. More than 500 multinational corporations make their regional headquarters in Sydney. It is a center for media, finance and communications in the Asia Pacific region. While interning on the island-continent, be sure to explore the unique and exotic flora and fauna, beautiful beaches and, of course, the famous Sydney Harbor and Opera House. Convenient transportation is available by train, bus and taxi. Interning down under amid the friendly, colorful Aussies can be an experience of a lifetime.
