Housing

If you are selected for an internship, you will be guaranteed fully-furnished, apartment style housing near your internship site. It is not a requirement to utilize The Washington Center’s housing services, so you are welcome to arrange your own accommodations or stay at home if you live nearby.

D.C. Housing

Facilities in the D.C. area are always shared with other students participating in the Federal Diversity Internship Initiative or TWC’s Washington, D.C. Academic Internship Program.  Two locations currently in use include the Residential and Academic Facility at NoMa and the Residential Facility at Flats 130. There may be other buildings available during future terms.

Regional Housing (outside of the D.C. area)

The Washington Center will secure housing accommodations in extended stay hotels, corporate housing, or college and university apartments for students interning outside of the D.C. area. All regional housing will meet the same general standard set by TWC’s D.C.-area housing facilities (i.e. fully furnished, kitchenette area, on-site laundry, wireless internet access).
