Quebec City, Canada
The capital of Quebec, beautiful Quebec City, is a busy seaport set high above the Saint Lawrence River approximately three hours east of Montreal.
Divided into the Upper Town and the Lower Town, it mixes past and present. It is the second oldest European settlement in Canada and is currently celebrating its 400th anniversary. Settled originally by the French, the Quebec provincial capital is unique in North America with its European flair, architecture, pedestrian streets, and atmosphere; it was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Quebec City is an excellent location in which to intern if you are proficient in French and are interested in learning about Quebec-U.S. relations. While interning in Quebec City, students will be provided academic and programming opportunities at our partner school in Canada, Universite Laval.
