The Global Citizenship Day, sponsored by Prudential, highlights the importance of global citizenship and also serves as a tool for the entire TWC student body to enhance their cross-cultural skills in order to make an impact in the world. The day consists of a keynote speech on global citizenship, topic-based workshops on global skills, and the International Festival, which is the culmination of the day celebrating cultural diversity and exchange.


Event Format



Pilar Mendiola Fernández, Senior Vice President and Chief International Officer of TWC, delivers a welcome speech.


A Prudential executive such as Lata Reddy, President of the Prudential Foundation, or Chris Cooper, Chairman and CEO of Prudential International Investments, introduces a keynote speaker.


The Global Citizenship Day’s Keynote Address will be given by Chris Bashinelli, actor, international speaker, producer, and United Nations Go-to-Kid for all things youth, Brooklyn, and cultural exchange.

The breakout sessions will be designed to be practical and useful exercises including role play and case studies.


Attendees will include approximately 400 students from about 20 countries, Prudential executives, as well as special TWC invitees.
