Workplace Accommodations

The Washington Center will work with agencies hosting interns to ensure reasonable accommodations are provided so that students may successfully complete their job duties. The Washington Center encourages employers to provide reasonable accommodations. In the event that an employer can not provide necessary accommodations, The Washington Center may be able to assist in securing the appropriate accommodations. Some accommodation requests that have been fulfilled by employers include providing:

Assistive technologies including software and hardware (JAWS, TextHelp)
Sign-Language Interpreting
Note-takers
Readers
Alternative formats
