TWC Disability Services

Mission Statement

The Washington Center for Internship s and Academic Seminars' goal is to increase access to programming for students with disabilities by ensuring equitable treatment and access to all programs and activities while facilitating reasonable and effective accessibility of the program environment (including internship sites, housing, courses, Washington Forum and other activities). Accordingly, the Disability Services Office serves a multidimensional role as advocate, educator, and coordinator of accommodations. Operational philosophy is rooted in the belief of equal access and inclusion through personalized accommodations, empowerment and professional, academic and personal self-determination.


Policy

The Washington Center is committed to upholding and maintaining all aspects of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) approved in l990, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of l973. As an institution, we are dedicated to ensuring reasonable and effective access to our programs and facilities, and continuously seek to improve our services.
