Housing Accommodations

The Washington Center provides housing accommodations to all students who request it by the set deadline for requests. Our housing facilities provide shared, independent living arrangements in apartment buildings in Northern Virginia, Washington, D. C. and suburban Maryland. They are located in well-lit, high traffic areas that provide comfortable surroundings. Students have access to Washington's Metro subway system, shops, restaurants, and convenience stores. Although there are differences among the various housing units, most of them offer the following amenities:

  • Large furnished apartments
  • Fully-equipped kitchens with microwave ovens
  • Laundry facility
  • High-speed Internet access
  • Local telephone and basic cable service
  • 24-hour front desk coverage or secured building
  • Health fitness center

The Washington Center will work with students on a case-by-case basis to ensure that reasonable accommodation needs are met. Some accommodation requests we have fulfilled in the past include:

  • Roll-in showers
  • Hand-held shower heads
  • Flashing smoke detectors
  • Lowered appliances
  • Electronic door openers

In order to best serve you, you must complete our Application for Services form at least one month prior arriving in Washington, D.C. The form can be downloaded here .
