Chevron Diversity Scholarship Recipients Named for Fall Semester 2006
Washington, D.C.– The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, in partnership with Chevron, announced Anna Bruton and Tricia Thompson as the Fall 2006 recipients of the Chevron Diversity Scholarships.
Bruton, a political science major, attends Albright College, and is part of the International Affairs Program at The Washington Center. Bruton earned a placement at Financial Services Roundtable. Thompson, a criminology major, attends the University of Florida, and is part of the Law and Criminal Justice Program. Thompson earned an internship at the Federal Trade Commission.
Chevron’s support of Washington Center programs has a storied history spanning more than 25 years. In addition to unrestricted and event sponsorship, they have provided program support for our “Women as Leaders” seminar, Capitol Hill Breakfast Series, and the campaign convention seminar. Since 1995, Chevron has been supporting the Diversity Leaders Initiative, and more recently has sponsored a symposium of energy and environment policy.

The largest program of it kind with more than 60 full-time staff, The Washington Center has more than 35,000 alumni, who themselves have become leaders in numerous professions and nations around the world. |
