Spring Interns Partner with Team Red, White & Blue for Reston Ten Miler

Fifteen students in the Veterans Civic Engagement Project volunteered as course marshals in a ten-mile race in Reston, Virginia on March 3rd to support Team Red, White & Blue (RWB), which seeks to reintegrate veterans into society through physical and social activities.

Honoring American Heroes: Fall 2012 Veterans Project

Veterans Civic Engagement students outdid themselves this semester, setting an example for how civilians throughout the U.S. can thank “our heroes” for their service.

 

More than 60 students participated in a race organized by our partner organization, Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) at 1:50 AM in Bethesda. Team RWB seeks to reintegrate veterans into society through physical exercise and social events.

47 students traveled to Richmond, Virginia to support veterans competing in the 32nd National Veterans Wheelchair Games. They are all participating in the Veterans Civic Engagement Project, led by Ann Reynolds.

Over 600 paralyzed veterans came from all over the country to compete in 17 different games including:
