Last week, TWC held the Spring 2013 Roundtable on Civil Society and Social Responsibility. Spring interns had the opportunity to hear from a wonderful keynote speaker and 5 professionals who came from a diversity of backgrounds and represent a number of major corporations and foundations. This particular event is held each semester with the intent of familiarizing interns with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) opportunities.

Fall 2012 Roundtable on Civil Society & Social Responsibility

During the Roundtable on Civil Society & Social Responsibility, TWC welcomed a special keynote speaker and 4 expert panelists to discuss the topic of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the role that it plays in civil society. The fall Roundtable focused on a range of partnerships and in-progress CSR initiatives to provide fall interns with the opportunity to become more aware and sensitive to the challenges facing our society at a community and global level.

Roundtable on Philanthropy and Social Responsibility

Once a semester, TWC interns have the opportunity to hear from some of the leading members in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors during TWC's Roundtable on Philanthropy and Social Responsibility. The panelists, who attended the July 23rd event, came from a variety of backgrounds but still shared one major thing in common: the desire to help nonprofit realms like corporate citizenship and philanthropy evolve to their full potential.

Spring interns attended a panel on Social Responsibility and Philanthropy at The Washington Center’s Residential Academic Facility. The event featured four speakers who are experts in both nonprofit and philanthropic landscapes. The panelists discussed their efforts at a variety of well-known corporations and nonprofits.
