A Taste of Everything Charlotte has to Offer: First Week of the DNC Academic Seminar

When 108 students from around the country arrived to The Blake Hotel on Sunday, August 26th, they really had no idea what to expect from their first week in Charlotte. Little did they know, each attendee would be in for a jam-packed week of programming, receptions and meetings with major political figures who helped shape Charlotte into the up and coming city that it is today.

TWC Celebrates one of its Oldest Partnerships

Current students and TWC alums of the PA State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) attended a dinner reception at TWC headquarters on Wednesday, July 25th.

Sam Rose Scholarship Dinner

The Sam Rose Scholars for spring semester 2012 gathered for a meet and greet with Sam Rose and his wife, Julie. Sam Rose owned the land where the RAF was built and also established a scholarship fund for students. This scholarship provides grants of varying amounts to a diverse group of students who would not otherwise be able to participate in TWC programs.

2012 Prudential Foundation Global Scholars Visit the Company's Headquarters

The Prudential Foundation Global Citizens Program, a cohort of 26 international students from India, Japan, Korea and Taiwan, attended a two-day site visit from April 19-20 at Prudential Financial headquarters in Newark, New Jersey.

 

The students were competitively selected for this program to represent their countries. They had the opportunity to meet with and learn from a number of Prudential executives during their trip including:

Government of Panama and TWC Sign Agreement

The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars (TWC) celebrated its new partnership with Panama’s National Secretariat for Science, Technology, and Innovation on March 5, 2012. Also known as the U.S.-Panama Innovation & Competitiveness Initiative, the partnership will enable Panamanian students to come to Washington, D.C. and participate in unique and transformational opportunities.
